The Polish Beer Crawl

Poland makes some pretty good beer. Most are semi-light pilsners. So far I’ve tried Zywiec, Zubr, Okocim (a wheat beer), Tyskie, and Lech.

While the Czechs make heavy, full-bodied beers, these Polish brews are perfect for hot summer days. The Okocim, especially, is a flavorful heffenweisse, with a nice kick as you drain the glass.

Half-liter bottles in the shop, sold as six-packs, cost around 2.10 zloty apiece, which is about 13 Czech crowns, roughly the equiv of USA 50-cents per beer.

Now that’s a cheep buzz, my friends.

Na zdrowie!
